Made to the tip, now heading home

sunny 27 °C

It`s been a while since my last blog. In this time we have all ready been to the tip and stayed at Seisia now heading home.
I had fun at Seisia at night we went fishing off the wharf. It was my job to catch the live bait for everyone. Dad bought me a Jig, which has heaps of hooks on them and you jiggle it into the water and the sardines see the shiny silver things and you hook them. Mum was having a turn and the Torres Strait islanders starting laughing at her and told her if she wants to catch some fish you have to put it in the water. She didn’t even realise her line wasn’t in the water no wonder she didn’t catch anything. It was so funny.

Bramwell Station

Bramwell Station

When we went to Bramwell station Mum, dad, josh and I saw a cute little calf and a puppy. I don’t know what the cows name was but the puppy’s name was Bandit. The calf was licking our car and rubbing his neck on the bull bar, I think he wanted to come home with us.

Python at the Caravan park

Python at the Caravan park

At Cooktown Rod and dad went to the toilet and they saw a huge python outside the toilet block that ate a fat thing. It was about two and half metres long. It was moving very very slow and heading for a tent. We woke the people camping so they knew it was there.

Etty Bay

(Etty bay, Josephine falls, Sky Divers, The Crab I caught)

Today we arrived at Etty bay, it has an awesome view of the beach. Bev, brooksy and I went for a swim in the ocean. When Bev got out, Brooksy taught me how to body surf I’m not that good but I tried. We swam for about an hour then we got out, it was so cool some parachute’s came down from the sky and landed right in front of us on the beach.
We went to Josephine Falls, Brooksy and I went swimming in the rocks and was sliding down the water fall it was like a slippery slide. It was so cold.
That night I sat on the beach all alone and was very quiet. Then a crab came out of its hole and one more until the whole beach was lit up in crabs. It was amazing, they ran as fast as they could when a moth would hit the ground and then they would eat it. They were so quick but I finally caught one you can see that in the photo above.
We are heading up to Cape York soon. Which I can’t wait to go four wheel driving and through river crossings. Also I am excited because I will be sleeping in my swag.

Footprints

sunny 30 °C

The age of the dinosaurs

The age of the dinosaurs

Today I was boiling in the car going to the dinosaur’s tracks at Lark Quarry Conservation Park. It was awesome, I liked the big foot prints they were 51 centimetres long and there was also little foot prints. On the way back, mum wanted to take photos of a rusty old car. So I got out and ran to some jerry cans that looked cool. Then I saw a fossil, but I thought it was metal so I kicked it and it fell over, so I picked it up and took it mum, dad and josh they thought it was too.
We went to another dinosaur museum where they dig for the bones. While we waited for our tour to start I found a gecko it was so cute mum took lots of photos. Then I let it go because the tour guide came. We went inside the museum, we got to touch the bones of a dinosaur. After the tour we asked George the tour guide what my fossil was and it was actually ironstone.
Tomorrow we are going to Townsville it should be great.
Schools back! Sorry guys...
